How to Calculate Maximum Bid at Auction?

Short answer

Maximum bid is calculated backwards from your total budget: subtract auction fees, delivery, customs, service fee, and repair reserve from the amount you're willing to pay for a car in Baku. The remaining amount is the highest bid you can place at auction. Every dollar above that directly exceeds your budget.

Formula

Maximum bid = Total budget − Auction fees − US domestic shipping − Ocean freight − Customs duty − Service fee − Repair reserve

Each expense item

Sample calculation

Let's say you want to spend the maximum on a car in Baku. 20 000 $ For example, let's take conditional figures: auction fees 800 $, domestic transportation in the USA 500 $, sea freight 1 800 $, customs 3 500 $, service fee 500 $, repair reserve 2 000 $. Total 9 100 $. So, the maximum bid at auction 10 900 $ should be.
