Auctions
Which is more profitable to buy a car from — the US, Korea, or China? +
Each market has its own advantages. The US offers the widest selection, especially for pickups and large SUVs; Korea is strong for Hyundai/Kia and fast delivery; China excels in electric vehicles and new models. We compare which is most cost-effective depending on the specific model you're looking for.
Which auctions do you work with? +
We work with Copart, IAAI, Manheim, and Adesa auctions in the US and Canada. In Korea, we work with several platforms and sales channels. This allows us to find the model you're looking for from various sources and select the most suitable option.
Which auction in America is better to buy a car from? +
There are two main auctions: Copart and IAAI. Copart has more lots and competitive pricing, while IAAI has a slightly faster document process. In practice, we check both and compare prices for the same model — sometimes the difference can be thousands of dollars.
Is it profitable to import a car from Korea? +
Yes, especially for Korean brands like Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis — there's good selection and the vehicle is from its country of origin. Plus, Korea is geographically closer, so delivery is faster than from the US. Korea is also a strong market for those looking for electric vehicles.
Customs
How is customs duty calculated? +
Customs duty is calculated based on the vehicle's age, engine volume, and customs value. For new vehicles, a percentage of the value is applied; for older vehicles, a tariff based on engine volume is used. We can calculate the approximate amount for a specific model.
Who handles the vehicle documentation? +
We handle all documentation — customs declaration, duty calculation, document preparation. You receive an invoice, auction document, shipping documents, and customs declaration. We also assist with State Road Police registration.
What is Euro-4 standard and which cars cannot be imported? +
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan requires imported vehicles to comply with at least Euro-4 environmental standard. Non-compliant vehicles cannot be registered. General rule: vehicles from approximately 2009-2010 onwards typically comply, but this should be verified before purchase.
What are the customs benefits for electric vehicles? +
Electric vehicles do not incur engine duty and have VAT benefits under certain conditions. Hybrids have more limited benefits. This means saving thousands of manat. Exact conditions vary by state regulations, so we check the current situation before you place an order.
Who pays the customs cost? +
The customer pays customs duty, but we manage the entire process — calculation, documents, declaration. The duty is included in the final price, so you know in advance how much it will be. State Road Police registration fee is separate.
Price
How much does it cost to import a car from abroad? +
The final price consists of five parts: auction price, broker commission, domestic US transportation, ocean shipping, and customs duty. To give you exact calculation for a specific car, tell us the model, year, and budget — no obligation.
Is the car price calculated including customs? +
The final price we quote to you includes delivery to Baku — meaning auction, shipping, insurance, customs, and service fee are all included. There are no hidden costs after the amount shown in the contract.
How does payment work when buying a car from abroad? +
Payment is made in stages: initial payment when the contract is signed, main payment after auction purchase, and remaining amount when the car arrives in Baku. All payments are made through bank transfer based on official invoices.
What should be the minimum budget for car import? +
The budget depends on the model you choose. Lower budget for economy class vehicles, higher budget for premium models. Tell us what you're looking for — we'll show you real options that fit your budget.
Are there hidden costs on a car imported from abroad? +
No. Our main principle is transparency — auction price, shipping, customs, and service fee are each shown separately in advance. There are no unexpected additional costs after the final price in the contract.
In which currency is a car imported from abroad paid for? +
Foreign auction purchases are calculated in dollars (USD), but payment in Azerbaijan can be made in manat (AZN) equivalent. We clarify the payment method at the time of order.
Transportation
How many days does a car from abroad take to arrive? +
Delivery time depends on the country. From the US and Canada, approximately 65-80 days on average; from Korea it's faster — because Korea is geographically closer to Azerbaijan. Exact timeframe varies depending on auction location and port schedules.
How does the process of importing a car from abroad work? +
The process is as follows: you tell us the model and budget, we find and send you suitable options, we tender the selected car at the auction, arrange domestic US transportation and ocean shipping after purchase, handle customs clearance in Baku, and deliver the car to you.
How can I track the car after placing an order? +
We update you at each stage of the order — auction purchase, arrival at port, loading onto ship, customs process. You receive regular updates and photo reports via WhatsApp.
Can I cancel after placing a car order? +
Cancellation is possible until the car is tendered and won at the auction. However, once the car is won at auction, it's considered purchased and cannot be cancelled — because auction purchases cannot be returned. That's why we make the selection carefully beforehand.
Which ports do cars from abroad arrive through? +
Cars from the US mainly depart from Eastern and Southern ports (New York, Houston, Savannah); from Korea they depart from Busan port. Delivery to Baku is arranged through Poti port.
Technical
What is a salvage title and how does it differ from a clean title? +
A clean title means a vehicle with a clear history, while a salvage title is a car marked as damaged by an insurance company. Salvage titles are 40-60% cheaper, but require extra attention for registration. The type of damage matters — minor collisions can be repaired, but water and fire damage should be avoided.
Is buying a damaged car risky? +
If chosen correctly, a damaged car is a good deal — most auction cars have minor damage that lowers the price. Risk only arises if you don't know the damage type. We inspect the damage type and severity before bidding on each lot.
Can you check a car's accident history? +
Yes. Every vehicle is checked by VIN code for history — accidents, mileage records, floods, fire, and theft status. We can also provide reports like Carfax and AutoCheck. This helps uncover hidden problems before purchase.
Which brands from abroad are more cost-effective to import? +
The most popular and readily available brands are Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes. Korea is better for Hyundai and Kia, while the US is better for pickups and large SUVs. We recommend the best option for your budget.
Can electric and hybrid vehicles be imported? +
Yes, we import electric and hybrid vehicles. Plus, electric cars have customs benefits — that means serious savings. Models like Tesla, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV6, and BYD are widely available at auctions.
What is the age limit for importing a car? +
According to Azerbaijani law, there are restrictions on importing vehicles beyond a certain production year. Age affects import eligibility, customs duties, and electric/hybrid benefits. We check the car's age in advance.
What should you pay attention to when importing a car from abroad? +
Five things: Euro-4 environmental compliance, complete documents, VIN history, damage type, and age limit. All five should be checked before purchase, as auction purchases cannot be returned. We have a detailed article on this in our blog.
Is the car inspected when it arrives in Baku? +
Yes, a visual and technical inspection is performed before delivery — engine and chassis numbers are verified against documents, and overall condition is checked. We can also arrange servicing and repair services upon request.
Can I order a zero (0 km) or premium car? +
Yes, both new and premium models can be ordered. Premium brands like Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, and Lexus are widely available at auctions. Tell us the specific model and we'll find suitable options.

Yes, we can import motorcycles, quads, and other vehicles. If you tell us the make and model, we'll prepare suitable offers.
Is the car insured during transportation? +
